- Press and hold the message, then choose More or Share.
- Select Legitimizr in the Share menu.
- Review the score, reasons, and suggested next step.
I don't see Legitimizr in the Share menu.
Open the Share menu, scroll to the end of the app row, choose More, then add Legitimizr to Favorites. If it still does not appear, restart the iPhone and try again.
How should I read the score?
The score is an AI assessment, not a probability or guarantee. Lower scores indicate more suspicious signals. Read the reasons and verify important claims through an official source.
How do I restore a subscription?
Open Settings in Legitimizr and choose Restore Purchases. Make sure the iPhone is signed in to the same Apple Account used for the original purchase.
How do I cancel Unlimited?
On iPhone, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Legitimizr, then choose Cancel Subscription. Apple manages all billing.
How do I delete my history?
Open History in Legitimizr and use the delete control. Deleting the app also removes locally stored scan history.
Is a “safe” result a guarantee?
No. Do not send money, credentials, or verification codes based only on a scan. When in doubt, contact the organization through its official app, website, or a known phone number.

Legitimizr helps you check whether a photo, link, or message looks real or fake. We collect as little as possible, and we do not sell your data.
Information we process
- Content you choose to check. The photo, link, or message you submit is sent to our AI analysis service to return a score, reasons, summary, and next step. We do not use scan content to build advertising profiles or sell it.
- Scan history on your device. Recent checks are stored locally on your iPhone so you can review them in History.
- Anonymous usage analytics. We may log events such as scans performed, paywall views, and purchases using a random install identifier. Scan content is not included in analytics, and analytics are not linked to your identity.
- Subscription status. Apple and our subscription provider, RevenueCat, process payments. We receive subscription status so the app can unlock paid features. We do not receive your payment card details.
- Reminders. If you enable a reminder, it is scheduled locally on your device.
Information we do not collect
- No account, name, email, or phone number is required to scan.
- We do not access contacts, photos, or messages except for the specific items you actively choose to check.
- We do not sell or rent personal information or use scan content for advertising.
How we share information
We share the minimum necessary with service providers that help the app function, including an AI analysis provider and RevenueCat for purchase verification. These providers process information to provide services to us. We do not share scan content with advertisers or data brokers.
Data retention
Scan history remains on your device until you delete it or delete the app. Anonymous analytics may be retained in aggregate for product improvement. Subscription records are retained as required by Apple and RevenueCat.
Children
Legitimizr is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your choices
- Delete scan history from the History tab.
- Turn reminders off in Settings.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in iPhone Settings under your Apple Account.
- Delete the app to remove locally stored app data.
Policy changes
If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date will be revised and, where appropriate, notice will appear in the app.

Use of the service
Legitimizr provides automated informational assessments of content you submit. You may use the app only in compliance with applicable law and these terms.
No guarantee
Results are estimates generated with automated systems. They may be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated. Legitimizr does not guarantee that content labeled as having no clear red flags is legitimate, or that content labeled suspicious is fraudulent. You remain responsible for decisions you make.
Important decisions
Do not rely on Legitimizr as the only basis for financial, legal, medical, emergency, identity, security, or other high-impact decisions. Verify important information independently.
Your content
You are responsible for content you submit and must have the right to use it. Do not submit unlawful content or information you are not authorized to share.
Subscriptions
Paid subscriptions are processed by Apple and renew automatically unless canceled through your Apple Account at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Available terms and pricing are shown before purchase. Refunds are handled under Apple's policies.
Acceptable use
You may not interfere with the app, attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineer protected service components where prohibited by law, overload the service, or use it to harm others.
Availability and changes
We may update, suspend, or discontinue features. We aim to keep Legitimizr useful and available, but do not promise uninterrupted operation.
Disclaimer and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and without warranties. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service.
